Ms. Sarah Holder

Color Guard & Winter Guard Instructor

Sarah Holder serves as the Color Guard instructor and Winterguard director at Auburn High, which encompasses writing and teaching show routines, overall show design and program management. With 20 years of experience as an instructor, she has led our guard programs since 2014 after volunteering as our assistant instructor the two years prior. Additionally, Ms. Holder is a Spanish teacher at the high school, leads the Diversity Council, and is a co-sponsor of the EDUCATE club.

Born and raised in Connecticut, Ms. Holder marched each fall and winterguard season of her highschool years at the Norwich Free Academy. She continued spinning for two years of college with the West Chester University Marching Band and in WGI as a member of the World Class winterguard “Field of View”. The highlight of her spinning career came with two summers with the Boston Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps in 2000 and 2001, where she aged out of DCI as their colorguard captain.

Besides teaching colorguard, Ms. Holder enjoys spending time with her daughter, Scarlett, visiting family and travelling.
